Idea

So I was reading Brian's email about choices, only made it about half way but thought. What if we incorporated the trail button so you saw your last jump pattern, something that gives paint back to the player or can use that paint power up to reveal part of the canvas?

  1. I was thinking about it too. I know the idea is to have the whole level appear blank but I was thinking maybe we could have cans spread out around the level that would either return paint/life or contain turpentine/paint thinner that would kill you instantly. While their appearance would imply they are on a platform that may not necessarily be the case as they could be floating. Also if they were on a platform it doesn't tell you what kind of traps are around or if the platform is really narrow.

  2. I think i like the picking up the can idea more the picking up already used paint. It might be good idea to just have a "paint" button. so when you hold it while running(or standing for bleed)it then lets paint out. The player gets to choose when to use paint? This remove the "paint timer" which kind of was our main challenge for finishing the level.

    Another idea was maybe having a crack in a block that you could drip paint through.
